Charleston Literary Festival Brings Viewers Along for the Breakout 2022 Event with New Documentary

Charleston Literary Festival today announced the premiere of its documentary film, From the Bloomsbury Group to the Lowcountry, Charleston Literary Festival, at 7:30 pm on November 2nd on South Carolina ETV (SCETV). The hour-long film, made possible thanks to Atomic Focus Entertainment, SC Humanities, and the Fiederowicz Family Fund, provides an insider perspective on the standout 2022 Festival and paves the way for the eagerly awaited 2023 festival, scheduled from November 3-12.
he documentary showcases Charleston Literary Festival’s impact, emphasizing the importance of humanities-focused events featuring speakers alongside emerging literary voices while engaging conversations with readers that inspire intergenerational learning and widen the reach of impactful authors and cultural exchanges throughout the community.
Since its inception in 2017, Charleston Literary Festival has embraced conversations around books and ideas with leading and emerging authors and the readers who follow them. The Festival is a curated boutique-sized festival whose roots began at Charleston House in the UK—home of the radical writers, artists, and thinkers of the Bloomsbury Group. With this sentiment at heart, Charleston Literary Festival is committed to maintaining an international perspective while building up and giving back to the local community on which it is built.

Atomic Focus Entertainment, the production partner to Charleston Literary Festival, documented this remarkable literary journey over ten days. The documentary, directed by Tom Wiggin and produced by Jenn Dumas Wiggin, embodies the frenetic energy, spontaneous connections, meaningful content, and poignant moments as the reader community and authors embraced the Festival.
