Charleston County Public Safety Directorate and Federal Partners to Host Safety Workshop for Houses of Worship
The Charleston County Public Safety Directorate, in conjunction with the Department of Homeland Security, and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, are pleased to announce the 2023 Faith Based Resources and Protecting Houses of Worship Workshop. This workshop is intended to bring together local faith-based leaders with officials to discuss risk, awareness, preparedness, and resources on the evolving threats and new challenges in protecting houses of worship from targeted violence.
The event will be held on Thursday, November 9 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 pm at the Keith Summey Library, 3503 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston. Representatives from all houses of worship in the tri-county (Charleston, Berkeley, Dorchester) area are welcome to register for this event. Registration is required to attend.

- Understanding the national and local threat landscape.
- Establishing a faith-based safety and security working group.
- Identification and utilization of resources.
