The Riviera Theater Announces 2023 Holiday Lineup

The Riviera, the iconic theater located in the heart of  downtown Charleston, is thrilled to announce its 2023 lineup for the holiday season. The  historic theater will welcome acclaimed acts spanning all genres, from 15-time Grammy winner Ricky Skaggs to big band favorites like The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra. Tickets for all shows are now available on the Riviera website.

This year we’re thrilled to welcome back The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra for The Riviera’s Holiday Soireé on Dec. 15, which will be a dinner and dancing show! The performers, coupled with the venue’s rich history and enhancements we’ve recently made to elevate the concert experience, make The Riviera a can’t-miss live entertainment venue for locals and visitors alike this holiday season.”

Sara Evans | Sunday, December 3 at 7PM 

Sara Evans will bring her festive “Go Tell It On The Mountain Tour” to The Riviera  Theater this December. Over the last two decades, Evans has carved a successful  career anchored by her insightful songwriting and warm, evocative voice. With such  enduring hits as “Suds in the Bucket,” “A Real Fine Place to Start,” “Perfect” and “A  Little Bit Stronger,” she’s earned recognition as the fifth most played female artist at  country radio and continues to be a force on the road with tour dates crossing the country. For her ninth studio album, the Missouri native serves up an eclectic bounty of  songs that have shaped her life and storied career. Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder Christmas | Thursday, December 14 at 7:30PM The Riviera is thrilled to welcome 15-time Grammy winner and Country Music Hall of  Fame member Ricky Skaggs and his band, Kentucky Thunder, on Dec. 14. This  heartwarming show features a collection of songs both old and new as Skaggs and his  band perform their own perfect blend of acoustic harmony. The show includes the joyful  bluegrass tune “Christmas Time’s A Coming” along with a beautiful rendition of “New  Star Shining,” a hit song for Ricky Skaggs and James Taylor. Beloved classic songs “Silent Night,” “Deck the Halls,” and “Let it Snow” are fully represented, along with many  other special Christmas melodies. Included in this seasonal show are sing-a-longs, rounding out this exclusive assortment of holiday jewels. Ticket prices begin at $47.50  and can be purchased via the website.

The Riviera Holiday Soireé with The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra | Friday,  December 15 at 8PM 

Get ready to swing into the holiday season at The Riviera’s Holiday Soirée! Join us for a  festive evening of energetic and soulful big-band music with The Fabulous Equinox  Orchestra. The Riviera will be transformed with a lively dance floor, fabulous VIP tables,  and lounge area for all to enjoy. Indulge in special holiday hors-d’oeuvres and additional  food offerings. Guests are invited to dance the night away, savor delicious food, and  drinks, and create unforgettable memories at The Riviera. VIP table ticket price is  inclusive of a designated table seat, one complimentary drink, and hors d’oeuvres.  General admission ticket price is inclusive of show admission and hors d’oeuvres.  Specialty cocktails, wine, and beer are available for purchase. Nutcracker Dance Workshop with the Dance Conservatory of Charleston |  Monday, Dec. 18 at 9:30AM and 10:30AM 

New this year, little ones are invited to The Riviera for a Nutcracker-themed dance  workshop led by the Dance Conservatory of Charleston. Perfect for children ages 3-9,  kids will learn a short variation from the esteemed play by the dancers who star in it. The workshop at the Riviera Theater also includes Nutcracker-themed props and accessories to take home. Timing is 9:30AM-10:15AM for children ages 3 to 5, and  10:30AM-11:15AM for children ages 6 to 9. Tickets are $55 per student, per class and  can be purchased on the website.
