College of Charleston Opera Singer to Present Special German Art Song Concert
Lauren Funkhouser, a College of Charleston Opera singer and member of Trinity United Methodist Church’s Songbirds, will present a special concert of German art songs entitled “ Evenings of Song: Liederabend” at Trinity United Methodist Church at 7 pm on Wednesday, November 8th.
Supported by a cast of College of Charleston Opera singers, Lauren Funkhouser’s Lieberabend performance will feature works by the Romantic classical masters including Brahms, Schubert, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Strauss, Mahler, and Beethoven.
Admission is free and donations to the College of Charleston Opera are encouraged and appreciated. Trinity UMC is located at 273 Meeting Street in Charleston at the corner of Meeting and Society. There is limited on-street parking and the church parking lot can be accessed by turning on Society Street from King Street at M. Dumas & Sons to access the entrance on Society Street. Parking is free in the church lot.
