Election Day Fun: Kids Workshop at The Charleston Museum

Published

on

The Charleston Museum, founded in 1773 and considered America’s first museum, is inviting adventurers ages 6 through 12 to an Election Day celebration with activities focused on the founding of our country and the importance of voting. The event takes place on Tuesday, November 7th from 10 am to 12 pm.

Participants will play a taxation game to see first-hand why the colonists wanted to found their own country, explore the history of voting rights and how they have changed over time, and have the opportunity to cast their very own ballots.

Museum Workshops are designed to offer children a hands-on exploration of history and natural history, complemented by informative lessons and engaging activities.

Guests can purchase tickets online here. Reservations are required. Recommended for children ages 6 to 12. For more information call 843-722-2996 ext. 236.
