Press Release

Charleston locals Adele Cisco, Erin Engebritson and Kristin Smoak are thrilled to announce the opening of Marsh & Magnolia, a custom specialty hat shop situated at the street level of the iconic Hotel Bennett. Marsh & Magnolia will open to the public on Friday, November 17th at 404 King Street, suite 101.

Marsh & Magnolia offers a personalized hat-making experience where guests work one-on-one with a skilled hat stylist to create a felt or straw hat that is truly unique. Their private-label hats are made from the highest quality felt and straw materials and are offered in an array of styles and colors. Guests work with Marsh & Magnolia’s expert team of stylists to guide them through the unique hat design process, ensuring a truly one-of-a-kind creation. The possibilities for personalization are limitless, with a vast selection of design details available, including hat bands, ribbons, pins, stitching, charms, feathers, and brands. Inspired by the Lowcountry lifestyle, customers can expect upbeat music, complimentary local beverages and a fun atmosphere that is made for every kind of good time.

The team worked with local architecture and interior design studio, The Middleton Group, on the buildout of the modern, coastal space. Upon entering, guests will notice the grand custom hat bar with a shaping and fitting station, a stylish hat wall and a retail area with exclusive merchandise from Glampwear and Hibiscus Linens.

The grand opening of Marsh & Magnolia is scheduled for Friday, November 17th. The store will be open Tuesdays-Saturdays 10a-6p and Sundays 11a-5p. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged. Appointments can be made on MarshandMagnoliaCHS.com.
