Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care System Director Scott R. Isaacks Earns Prestigious Presidential Rank Award
The Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care System proudly announces, its director and CEO, Mr. Scott R. Isaacks (above), has been honored with the 2023 Presidential Rank Award (PRA), a significant achievement presented by President Joe Biden. This award underscores the pinnacle of professional dedication and service among the nation’s civil servants.
The PRAs, administered by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, celebrate the exceptional leadership and commitment of federal employees who have made extraordinary contributions to the American public. This year, the President recognized 232 winners across 31 federal agencies. Mr. Isaacks’ selection for the Meritorious Rank places him among an elite group of only seven Department of Veterans Affairs recipients, a testament to his unwavering commitment and service to our Nation’s Veterans.
“I am deeply honored to be recognized with this prestigious award,” said Mr. Isaacks. “It is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire team at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care System, who are committed to providing our Nation’s Veterans with the highest quality care.”
Jeff Zients, White House Chief of Staff, commended the awardees for their roles as unsung heroes in improving the lives of American families. OPM Director Kiran Ahuja praised the winners for exemplifying the highest standards of public service, adding that the awardees have made the nation safer and more prosperous through their efforts.
As one of the esteemed recipients of the Meritorious Rank Award, Mr. Isaacks is recognized for sustained accomplishment in service to the country. This distinction is conferred upon no more than five percent of the Senior Executive Service (SES) or Senior-Level (SL)/Scientific and Professional (ST) corps, highlighting the exceptional nature of Mr. Isaacks’ contributions.
