Highway 78 and Highway 27 Road Closures Announced for Improvement Project

In April 2020, J.R. Wilson Construction began sporadic daytime lane closures on Highway 78 between Delee Circle and Meadows Drive for work related to the Highway 78 Improvement Project.
Beginning today, Monday, August 24 through Saturday, August 29, the intermittent lane closures will extend into nighttime hours for asphalt paving operations.
Drivers traveling through the construction zone are asked to be aware of equipment and crews and to follow traffic control signs and reductions in speed limits.
Highway 27 Closure
On Thursday, August 27 and Friday, August 28 Highway 27 will be closed between School Street and Highway 78.
Weather permitting, the above closure will take place between the hours of 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM for work related to the Highway 78 Improvement Project.
During the above mentioned hours, all traffic will be detoured to School Street (SC-173).
