Congressman Joe Cunningham Endorses Sam Skardon for State Senate
On Tuesday, Congressman Joe Cunningham endorsed local businessman Sam Skardon for South Carolina State Senate District 41.
“It’s an honor to receive the endorsement of Congressman Joe Cunningham today,” Skardon said. “His bill to ban offshore drilling is a great example of environmental stewardship and I will join this fight in the State Senate. We need leaders in Columbia who will not only stand on the right side of environmental votes, but will champion legislation that protects our natural habitats for generations to come. I’m grateful for Congressman Cunningham’s leadership in Congress and for his endorsement in our race for Senate District 41.”
Senate District 41 covers parts of West Ashley, James Island, Johns Island, North Charleston, and Summerville, and it is currently represented by a Republican Sandy Senn.
