Charleston Magazine Announces “Where Is This?” Contest

Charleston magazine, the city’s magazine since 1975, announces a fun feature and contest “Where Is This?”—the cover story of its October 2020 issue. Designed as a photo essay-meets-scavenger hunt, the feature challenges readers to identify 40 Lowcountry landmarks. 

How it works: visit charlestonmag.com and try your best to name the locales in all 40 images for a chance to win a year membership to Charleston Magazine Club—a club for Charlestonians who love the Lowcountry, local parties, curated events, and access to select performances. The deadline to enter is Saturday, October 31. One winner will be selected at random from the entries with the most correct answers.

“This was such a popular feature during our 40th anniversary year in 2015 that we decided to reprise the concept—with all new locations, of course—for a COVID-safe adventure this fall,” says editor-in-chief Darcy Shankland. “Some of the spots are easy, others not so much. We suggest you turn it into a series of date nights with your honey or family outings throughout the county. But get out there soon; just before going to press we learned that one is located on a property that sold, and sadly may not exist for much longer.”
