Update: Symphony Tour of Homes on Kiawah Island to Include “Naturally Kiawah Outdoors,” Beethoven 250th Birthday Celebration
Press Release
In addition to a collection of spectacular properties, a new and special feature of this year’s Symphony Tour of Homes is Naturally Kiawah Outdoors. Walk and explore unique areas that make living on an island so enchanting: natural landscapes, gardens, beaches and rivers. Among the outdoor spaces on exhibit are the Naturally Kiawah Demonstration Garden, the Butterfly Garden at the Sanctuary, and a Mariners Watch Boardwalk. The innate beauty of Kiawah provides a stunning backdrop for homeowners to create their very special homes.
This year’s event also features a Celebration of Beethoven’s 250th Birthday. This event will open with a performance by Holy City Opera Arts & Lyric Opera (HALO) beginning at 11:30 AM. The celebration will continue with an open-air tent set up on Freshfields Village Green where musicians from the Charleston Symphony will play throughout the afternoon. All activities are open to the public. Beverages, including wine, and food will be available for purchase. Wine will be provided by FortyEight – Wine Bar & Kitchen along with food from local restaurants, many of which will be giving a donation back to the event.
Tour participants will also have the opportunity to shop at SCORE, the CSOL’s chic pop-up shop, featuring edited collections, available for a limited time. SCORE sells new, vintage, and noteworthy items, perfect holiday gifts unavailable elsewhere. Merchants include: My’s Pots, Bee Bella Honey, Shakti Unlimited, Blue Moon Art, Surcee Jewelry, Angel Rings and Things, Nine Yards International, Sandra Ericksen Design and Jewels.
As the longest-running island house tour in the Lowcountry, the Symphony Tour of Homes showcases a wide variety of outstanding residences. The homes included on the 2020 tour are each unique and demonstrate a variety of lifestyles and homeowners’ individual styles.
