Vehicle Fire in North Charleston

A HCS reader passed along the following information and photos regarding a vehicle fire that recently occurred in North Charleston:

SUV exploded in the First National parking lot by Ashley Phosphate exit…

It was on fire and then it made a huge popping noise and the smoke got super thick and pure black…

We were on the road right beside it when it popped. Scare me half to death! I’m still shaking!

The reader went on to say it appeared no one was in the vehicle.

Yikes! Definitely a frightening scene. Thanks to the reader for supplying the photos and information. Glad to see no one appears to be injured.
