Press Release

The Berkeley County Library System is pleased to announce their participation in the Giving Tag Program in collaboration with the organization bags4mycause.com. All branches have started generating donations through the Giving Tag Program. The Giving Tag Program is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.

When a shopper purchases the $2.50 reusable Community Bags at any BI-LO, Fresco y Más, Harveys or Winn Dixie stores in South Carolina, including other states, they have the opportunity to direct a $1 donation to any of the Berkeley County Libraries:  Moncks Corner, Cane Bay, Daniel Island, Goose Creek, Hanahan, M.O.R.E. (Mobile Library), Sangaree and Saint Stephen by using the attached Giving Tag.

Berkeley County Library System has seven library branches and one Mobile Library (M.O.R.E.). Each library offers programs and services including digital access through Website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. For the latest updates and notifications, customers may also sign up for Remind Text Notification.

For more information on the Giving Tag Program, contact Laurie O’Tool at 843-719-4358 or laurie.otool@berkeleycountysc.gov.
