Julia Deckman Studio Announces First Pop-Up Exhibition Featuring Taylor Faulkner

Published

Julia Deckman Studio is opening a pop-up exhibition space in an effort to give emerging artists and creatives an opportunity to experiment, curate, and exhibit cohesive collections.

The first exhibition will feature the work of local artist, Taylor Faulkner. The exhibition, “I Doodled on a Toilet Seat” will open on Thursday, February 11th. You can visit from 5:30 pm to 8 pm.

“I needed something with humor to work on, something to ‘flush’ 2020 (really the last 4 years) down the toilet,” Faulkner said. “So, I decided to do what I do when I’m most anxious – I doodled. Then, I took those doodles and put them on toilet seats. You know, to really solidify my point. My doodles include things I love; surf, food, and animals you often find dead on the side of the road.”
