Ken Burger Serves Up Salkehatchie Soup
Former Post & Courier writer Ken Burger will release his third novel this Saturday.
The book will complete the Allendale native’s unintended Lowcountry triology, which also includes Swallow Savannah and Sister Santee. Burger also penned Baptized in Sweet Tea – a collection of his newspaper columns.
His latest venture, according to the Charleston City Paper, “takes place in western South Carolina in the 1990s and early 2000s and focuses on the nuclear waste that remains in the area today.”
Burger will celebrate the release of Salkehatchie Soup by signing copies of the book at the Morris Nissan at 1714 Savannah Highway in West Ashley at 11 am.
If you can’t make it to the signing, you can purchase any of Burger’s novels here.
