SC WIL Hosts Annual SpringBoard Virtual Conference

There are thousands of vacant positions on appointed boards and commissions across our state!
The annual SpringBoard Virtual Conference will help South Carolina women gain the confidence and knowledge to step forward and seek positions on local and statewide appointed boards and commissions that best suit their experience and interests.
Participants will hear from women leaders about why building racial and gender representation from the ground up is essential to moving our state forward; get insights on building confidence; learn how appointed boards work and the power they have to affect daily life; and find a board in their community that fits their experience and interests and learn how to apply.
Presenters include Alex Taylor, Bank of America Head of Global Banking, Human Resources and Conduct and Sara Goldsby, Director, DAODAS. Session topics include responsibilities associated with serving on a board or commission; networking and references, understanding board process; finding a board that suits your skills and interests; and a panel discussion moderated by the Center for Women and American Politics (CAWP).
