Press Release

With all South Carolinians 16 years and older becoming eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine on March 31st, trained city of Charleston Recreation Department staff will begin assisting citizens with the vaccine appointment scheduling process at city facilities throughout the Peninsula, West Ashley and James Island areas.

Why it matters: As the availability of COVID-19 vaccines has become more widespread, some citizens in traditionally underserved communities have experienced difficulty navigating the online scheduling process.
