HBO’s “The Righteous Gemstones” Needing “Many Extras” During Spring Break

A local casting agency is currently accepting submissions for those interested in working as paid extras on the second season of The Righteous Gemstones, a HBO show starring Danny McBride, John Goodman, Edi Patterson, and Adam DeVine. The agency says “many extras” are needed from April 8th through April 16th

Tona B. Dahlquist Casting is currently seeking people from Charleston or the surrounding area for the following:

  • April 8th & 9th
    • Seeking Church Goers and Staff
    • MUST be available to film BOTH dates
  • April 9th ONLY
    • Seeking a very diverse group for filming
  • April 12th
    • Seeking Country Club Types with nice vehicles
      • 2 Old Golf Buddies with clubs (Featured)
      • Country Club Security, Staff, and Caddies, Attractive Females in 20’s
      • A few folks with fishing gear
  • April 13th
    • Airport crew types (portraying Attendants, Ground Crew, Pilots)
  • April 14th
    • Needing 25 seniors to portray Nursing Home residents
    • Steakhouse Patrons and Staff
  • April 15th and/or April 16th
    • Restaurant patrons with non red or white vehicles needed for filming
    • Some will be needed BOTH dates

You should include two current cell phone photos (close up & full length), Name, Phone, City/State you reside, Age, Height/Weight, Clothing Sizes, Shoe Size, description of visible tattoos and piercings.
Anyone selected must have two pre-filming COVID tests. These tests are provided and paid for by production at a North Charleston location. Those filming will receive an additional $50 per test ($100 for having both) on their filming day pay voucher.

The Righteous Gemstones, is a half-hour comedy series created by McBride, who wrote, directed, executive produced, and acted in the show. The entire first season was filmed in the Charleston area. The series tells the story of the world famous Gemstone televangelist family, which has a long tradition of deviance, greed, and charitable work, all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

    That’s my show Kenny Mc Bride have good on screen chemistry with Craig Washington in East bound, they should make him a part Season 3 as a rival prophet Muhammad style preacher, he’ll be great like Eddie Murphy in Vampire in Brooklyn “Al. Sharpton” impersonation. I’m Lonnie Laughlin Chicago proud fan extra etc
