Coastal Crust Coming to Wild Dunes Resort

Wild Dunes Resort on Wednesday announced the opening of Coastal Crust, a wood-fired pizzeria, at the resort’s newly renovated Sweetgrass Plaza. Coastal Crust at Wild Dunes will be open to the public beginning Memorial Day weekend.

Coastal Crust, which has other locations in the area, is known for their wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizzas and Italian-inspired dishes. The pizzeria says their dough and crushed tomato sauce are made-from-scratch, in house.

Their traditional pizzas are also available with gluten-free crust and vegan cheese. Other offerings include antipasto, pasta dishes, sandwiches and desserts. The eatery also features a full bar with fine wine, craft beer, and specialty cocktails.

Sweetgrass Plaza, formerly the Village Plaza, is undergoing a refresh with the forthcoming addition of retailers, culinary options, and a salon. The Gallery at Sweetgrass, an art gallery exhibiting works from over a dozen regional artists and hosting an artist in residency program, is now open on the plaza. Sweetgrass Plaza is located adjacent to the Resort’s brand new 153-room Sweetgrass Inn, which opened in March 2021.

Coastal Crust at Wild Dunes will be open 4 pm to 9 pm, Monday-Wednesday; 11 am to 9 pm, Thursdays & Sunday; and 11 am to 10 pm on Fridays & Saturdays.
