Press Release

Kulture Beauty & Barber Supply is celebrating its four-year anniversary of opening its doors in North Charleston with a celebration in honor of the occasion, and Juneteenth on Saturday, June 19th, 2021. The festivities will be taking place at their store at 8780 Rivers Avenue, Suite 104, North Charleston, in the same shopping center as the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store, from 11 am to 4 pm.

“We have so much to celebrate,” store owner Sheena Simmons said. “As a proud black-owned business in North Charleston, my team and I are beyond excited to be celebrating four years in business. This year has taught me so much, especially through the pandemic and quarantine last year. This celebration is our way of patting ourselves on the back, and joining hands with our community to celebrate our continued growth and presence.”

Kulture Beauty & Barber Supply is one of North Charleston’s few black-owned beauty & barber supply stores offering a unique selection of hair, beauty, and wellness products to maintain the natural health of your hair and overall beauty. Products in their store are featured from brands local to the Charleston area, and nationally known brands. In addition to products, the store is also home to their in-house salon, Kultured Hair Trends, providing excellent service and the latest in hair braiding and styling trends. They also have added their own exclusive line of products to their shelves called, Ada Kali.

Attendees of their anniversary celebration are encouraged to come out and take a tour of the shop, along with participating in the fun games, trivia, giveaways, and activities taking place throughout the afternoon. The store will also be welcoming other small business vendors from around the Lowcountry to network and promote their brands, including Contour Restore Body Sculpting. Contour Restore will be celebrating its one-year anniversary of being in business. But, before you sign up with Contour, make sure you stop by one of the food truck vendors that will be in attendance also. The event is free to the public, and all ages are welcome to attend.

The event is free to all, so no tickets are required to attend. To learn more about the event, and Kulture Beauty & Barber Supply, visit www.kulturebeautynbarber.com or follow them on Facebook and Instagram @kulturebeautynbarber
