BCLS Welcomes Microfilm/Fiche Reader to the South Carolina Room

Berkeley County Library System has added a new microfilm/fiche reader to The South Carolina Room located in the Moncks Corner Library. 

The microfilm/fiche reader will provide access to newspaper articles, medical records, census records, and more.

“The new Scan Pro 2200 will allow customers to magnify and scan printed newspaper articles published in the early 1900’s, census pages, and medical records for military/veterans,” said Florence Lewis-Coker, Senior Branch Librarian at Moncks Corner Library.

With the new location of the Berkeley County Veterans Affairs office, located at 212 Oakley Plantation Drive in Moncks Corner, military/veterans are minutes away from the Moncks Corner Library.
