Uptown Social Debuting The Greasy Spoon on August 21st

Published

About a year ago, Uptown Social decided to open their restaurant/sports bar for breakfast a few mornings a week. The breakfast pop-up from Chef Alec Gropman was called Bodega and it featured large bagel sandwiches (and more) that became Charleston staples. The concept was so successful, Uptown Social decided to give Bodega its own home at 23 Ann Street. While fans will have to wait a little longer for the new brick-and-mortar eatery to open, they can still enjoy some tasty breakfast dishes at Uptown Social.

The new pop-up concept, which was created and curated by both Chef Gropman and new Executive Chef Jarrell Everett, will be called The Greasy Spoon and it debuts this Saturday. The team at Uptown Social describes The Greasy Spoon as “New York City diner meets Lowcountry comfort.”

You can see the menu, which includes items like pancakes, omelettes, breakfast burritos, and more, here.
