Technical Grimoire Releases “Lowcountry Crawl 1.5”

On Monday, September 27th, Technical Grimoire will release their newest book Lowcountry Crawl 1.5, which will be available for purchase through online retailers.

Created by a local team of writers, historians, consultants, and artists, Lowcountry Crawl is an action-packed adventure for fantasy tabletop roleplaying games (RPG’s). Most fantasy tabletop RPG’s take place in made-up fictional worlds. However, Lowcountry Crawl encourages players to explore their local history (albeit a history where magic is real and monsters are hiding in the pluff mud).

The first edition of Lowcountry Crawl was a proof of concept that made a big splash upon its release in 2019, being favorably featured in the Charleston City Paper. It quickly sold out its original print run and was adored by RPG fans around the world for its unique and faithful presentation of a magical, yet historical, setting.

This new edition features over 20 new pages of content including fresh artwork, more adventures, extra creatures, and an overall sense of polish and presentation.

The first edition of Lowcountry Crawl donated 20% of its profits to the Penn Center ($500+ over the course of a few months). Likewise, 20% of the proceeds from this new edition will go to support the Lowcountry Action Committee.

The Lowcountry Action Committee (LAC) was founded in 2020 and is a Black-led grassroots organization dedicated to Black liberation through service, political education, and collective action in the Lowcountry.

LAC is doing incredible boots-on-the-ground service with their monthly Food For Thought food drive, community organizing, and educational programming. We’re proud to support their efforts, and hope Lowcountry Crawl will bring more awareness to the value of Southern history; even the bits we’d prefer to ignore.

Print and digital copies of Lowcountry Crawl 1.5 are available on the official website.
