The Most Popular Candy in South Carolina – and Every Other State
An online candy retailer recently released an interactive map showcasing the most popular Halloween candy in each state, as well as the first and second runners up. CandyStore.com says the results are based on 14 years of candy sales data.
According to the website, South Carolinians’ favorite Halloween Candy is Butterfinger, followed by Skittles and Candy Corn.
The country’s favorite Halloween is Reese’s Cups, followed by Skittles, M&Ms, Starburst, and Hot Tamales.
CandyStore.com also shared the country’s least favorite Halloween candies. Candy Corn “topped” that list, followed by Circus Peanuts, Peanut Butter Kisses, Smarties, and Necco Wafers.

Glad I live out in the country where no one trick or treats anymore. I love Halloween, but will not support companies that moved their operations out of the USA. They cost many who worked for then faithfully for years their jobs. And their homes. When Milton Hershey was alive, he not only took care of his workers, but the entire town. Lawnmowers were on loan so everyone could keep their yards cut and the town was beautiful. They took pride in their town. Now corporations seeking to better their bottom line have taken that away.
So we only buy candy made here in America
