Join Charleston County Parks next month for a celebration of all things fall! The Harvest Festival is set for Saturday, November 6th from 11 am to 5 pm at Johns Island County Park.

The event is known for its showcase of Charleston’s own bluegrass talent, with local bands playing throughout the day. This year’s entertainment lineup is:

  • 12 pm – YeeHaw Junction
  • 1 pm – Gravel Road
  • 2 pm – Green Levels
  • 3 pm – Blue Plantation
  • 4 pm – The Pluff Mud String Band

The Harvest Festival will also have plenty of food available for purchase, including Southern barbecue, boiled peanuts, kettle korn, and traditional favorite festival fare, plus cold beverages.

Festival-goers are also encouraged to stop by the crafters’ market, which features a variety of hand-made items that make perfect holiday gifts.

Families will find activities to keep the kids occupied including pumpkin painting, horse jumps, and fun from the Charleston County Public Library. This year’s Harvest Festival will also feature a youth Archery Turkey Day Shoot! Turkeys will not be harmed in this competition, and the winning archer will take home a frozen turkey. The showdown is open to ages 8-17, and turkeys will be awarded to the male and female competitor with the highest scores. Interested youth competitors can sign up at the event, or just try out the sport for fun from 1 pm to 5 pm. All activities are free with the festival admission fee. Kulture City sensory bags will be available at the event to help any guest with sensory needs.

Admission to the festival is $8 per person. Kids 12 and under and Gold Pass holders are admitted free. Dogs are welcome but must remain on leash at all times. Outside alcohol and coolers are prohibited.
