#IWCONTOUR ARRIVES IN SOUTH CAROLINA

IWC Schaffhausen is stopping in Mount Pleasant Towne Centre in Charleston, in partnership with local retailer Reeds, with its brand-new interactive Big Pilot exhibition, marking the sixth of the eight across the United States. The four-day exhibition is housed in specially converted shipping containers that gives visitors a look inside the Swiss luxury watchmaker’s world, inviting them to discover more about the brand’s history and introduce the newest additions in its iconic Big Pilot’s watches collection.

Starting Thursday, October 28th until Sunday, October 31st, Mount Pleasant Towne Centre marks the sixth stop of the IWC Big Pilot Traveling Exhibition. Specially designed to emulate a shipping container, the exhibition features IWC’s cutting-edge technology. With its industrial style and high-tech expertise on display, IWC hopes to bring the 182 years of the brand’s history and innovation to life.

During the four days, the Swiss brand is partnering with Reeds to host visitors who will be able to discover and try one of the industry’s most legendary designs, the Big Pilot’s watch, while also learning more about IWC’s manufacture and commitment to sustainability and innovation.

From 12 to 8 p.m., guests will not only be able to learn more thanks to the knowledgeable staff on hand, but they will also have the opportunity to take a closer look and try some of IWC newest Pilot’s Watches including the newly redesigned IWC Big Pilot 43.

One of the key elements of this exhibition is an innovative new technology called PORTL, that will “holoport” IWC CEO Christoph Grainger-Herr to each location in hologram form, welcoming guests into the booth just as if he was really there. Joining him will be other holograms of Kurt Klaus, IWC’s legendary former head watchmaker, and seven-time Formula One champion and brand ambassador Lewis Hamilton. From this futuristic display, each personality will provide its own exciting insights into the world of IWC. The Big Pilot exhibition will mark the first time that people can see PORTL’s hologram devices in public on a daily basis.

The Big Pilot Exhibition is stopping in eight different cities across six states. The Big Pilot Exhibition will be open to visitors and welcome them to discover this unique traveling experience. Guests will be able to attend the Big Pilot Exhibition in the next cities on the following dates:

• Charleston, SC – Oct. 28 to Oct. 31, 2021
• Houston, TX – Nov. 4 to Nov. 7, 2021
• New York, NY – Nov. 11 to Nov. 14, 2021
