The Gallery at Sweetgrass Announces New Exhibition “Let’s ROAM Together”

Wild Dunes Resort today announced its first group exhibition, Let’s ROAM Together, at the Gallery at Sweetgrass, located in the resort’s Sweetgrass Plaza. This exhibition will feature the work of eight local artists who created pieces inspired by explorations of the Lowcountry’s natural landscapes.
“We are thrilled that the Gallery at Sweetgrass, Isle of Palm’s first fine art gallery, is bringing this fascinating exhibition here,” says Wild Dunes Resort Manager, John D’Angelo. “These local artists were inspired by the beauty of the Lowcountry and we invite visitors to come see their works and experience the wonder of this destination come to life at Wild Dunes Resort.”
The artists found opportunities during COVID-19’s travel bans to explore their homeland, where they were inspired by the nuances of coastal life in South Carolina’s Lowcountry. From sea horizons, marsh views, splendid nature, points of interest and moments of discovery, their works of art were born from this shared influence.
The exhibition will open on Thursday, November 4th, with the Let’s ROAM Opening Reception from 5 pm to 7:30 pm. Featured artists include Amanda McLenon, Barbara Montgomery, Emil Hristov, Fallon Peper, Gret Mackintosh, Karen Hewitt Hagan, Katie Libby, and Rachael Nerney. Let’s ROAM Together will be on display at the Gallery at Sweetgrass from November 4th through December 6th.
