Ashley Hall to Host National Speakers Panel on Women’s Entrepreneurship Day

Published

Ashley Hall, South Carolina’s only all-girls independent school, will host a breakfast panel discussion with a diverse lineup of speakers on November 19th in partnership with the Charleston Chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization. The panel will include three women who will share their entrepreneurial journey with the school’s Upper School students in honor of Women’s Entrepreneurship Day. Light breakfast will be served from 7:30 am to 8 am. The panel discussion will be held from 8 am to 8:50 am in the school’s Sottile-Thompson Recital Hall.

Guest speakers include Marsha Ralls, CEO and founder of The Phoenix Wellness Retreat. Ralls is a member of EO’s DC Chapter and has been active with EO’s initiative to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for several years. In 2017, EO made a commitment to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals, just as Ashley Hall has chosen to highlight beginning this year.

Sejal Lakhani-Bhatt, CEO of TechWerxe, an IT company based in New Jersey will join Ralls, along with Lasenta Lewis-Ellis, president and CEO of LLE Construction Group, headquartered in Columbia. Local entrepreneur and Ashley Hall parent, Jessica Munday, will lead the panel in a discussion about becoming an entrepreneur and address the importance of supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Students will have an opportunity to ask the panelists questions and interact with them following the panel discussion.

“As a school focused on inquiry-based, experiential learning for girls, we are thrilled to host this panel of successful female entrepreneurs,” says Head of School Jill Muti. “Whenever you provide a child with an opportunity to hear directly from real-world professionals, you create an opportunity for her to own her dream.”

All local entrepreneurs are invited to attend. Limited space is available and an RSVP is required. RSVPs can be emailed to Paula Harrell at harrellp@ashleyhall.org.
