SkyMarket Distributed Meals Prepared by Chef BJ Dennis Portion of Proceeds Benefit Lowcountry Food Bank
Lowcountry Food Bank announced today that SkyMarket partnered with Chef BJ Dennis this past Wednesday to prepare authentic Gullah Geechee meals that were delivered to those lucky enough to order a meal before they were sold out. A percentage of proceeds from the meals were donated by SkyMarket to the Lowcountry Food Bank and prepared in Lowcountry Food Bank’s Zucker Family Production Kitchen in North Charleston.
“Hunger touches us all,” said V. Scott Stoneburner, SkyMarket Founder and CEO. “Being in the grocery business, SkyMarket understands first hand the importance of fighting hunger,””We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the extremely valuable community service that Lowcountry Food Bank provides.”
Chef Dennis, who was born and raised in Charleston, said he was happy to participate.
“I partnered with SkyMarket to prepare these meals because I love the concept and possibilities their service offers,” said Chef Dennis. “Anything that supports the Lowcountry Food Bank, I am all about!”
