BCLS Writer’s Nest Returns to Sangaree Library
Berkeley County Library System’s Sangaree Library welcomes customers to return to Writer’s Nest, a self-directed program, on Saturday, December 18th at 11 am, and will continue every third Saturday. Writer’s Nest provides a comfortable space in the Activity Room to unwind and work on any writing projects. Poetry, non-fiction/fiction, journalism, songwriting, screenwriting, blogging, storytelling, essays, and many more genres are welcomed among writers.
The power of the pen has been, and always will be, a driving force in our society to influence, persuade and comfort through the craft of writing. During this pandemic of painful emotions and confusion, writing can allow hearts to flow into a personal or professional project while exchanging ideas with other creative souls.
All participants will now be required to provide a vaccination card to attend per group leader’s request.
“The Sangaree Library is proud to host the Writer’s Nest group,” said Faith Johnson, Sangaree Branch Librarian. “Being able to provide a place where people from the community can get together to share their creation with others for feedback in a positive atmosphere is one of the many great things the library system provides.”
