Charleston Black Expo & Taste of Black Charleston Return in March

Both the Taste of Black Charleston and the Charleston Black Expo will return to the Charleston area next month. See below for details on each.

  • Taste of Black Charleston
    • Held in the Exchange Hall at the Ladson Exchange Park on March 11th from 7:30 pm to 11 pm
    • The event presents a diverse sampling of food and beverage by a variety of restaurants and vendors in the community
    • Tickets can be purchased here
    • Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or proof of a negative COVID-19 diagnostic test 72 hours prior to the event date must be shown to be allowed entry into this event
  • Charleston Black Expo
    • Held at the Charleston Area Convention Center in North Charleston on March 12th from 10 am to 5 pm
    • The purpose of the event is to “promote economic development through increased exposure for minority-owned businesses. African American owned businesses have the opportunity to showcase their products and services to the public and procurement. It is also an opportunity for major corporations and government entities to develop viable working relationships with minority-owned businesses while marketing their products and services to the growing consumer market. The Expo is also a forum to educate, enlighten and inspire the entire community and the African American community in particular. Aside from economic development, exposure to cultural resources is a part of the focus for this event.”
    • Guests can enjoy seminars, live entertainment, workshops, vendors, youth activities, and more’
