AMOR Healing Kitchen and Ohm Radio Partnering on Fundraising Dinner Event
Ohm Radio and AMOR Healing Kitchen were both founded by Charleston women who saw a need in their community and created a nonprofit to fill the void. For AMOR, it was the need for affordable, plant-based meals for those facing illness. For Ohm, it was the need for an independent radio station to highlight the songs and stories of those that are typically underrepresented in our media.
Now, these two local nonprofits are coming together for an evening to celebrate community, food, local music, and local art to “inspire action, raise awareness, and raise funds for their organizations.” AMOR Healing Kitchen chef Kayla Rutherford will provide a three course, plant-based meal with teen volunteers serving the dinner, and Ohm Radio will provide the entertainment.
The event, titled “In the Moment with Ohm Radio and Amor Healing Kitchen – A Celebration of Women in the Media, Culinary, and Art World,” will be held on Saturday, April 30th, from 6 pm to 8:30 pm, at The Refinery (1640 Meeting Street). Tickets can be purchased here. All proceeds will be split between Ohm Radio and AMOR.
Programming Schedule includes:
- Live Music by Elise Testone, former American Idol finalist
- Live Painting by Lisa Shimko, highly accomplished local painter
- Live Weaving by Sunwoven, fiber artist, textile designer, and influencer
- Silent Auction with locally donated items
