Pattison’s Academy to Host Annual Ride-a-thon Fundraising Event on March 26th

Pattison’s Academy, an education and rehabilitation academy supporting Lowcountry children with disabilities and their families, will be hosting its annual Keeping the PACE (KTP) fundraising event on March 26th, from 9 am to noon at its school in West Ashley. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the programs and services offered by the Charleston-based nonprofit.

KTP is a three-hour stationary bike ride-a-thon and the organization’s largest fundraising event of the year.

The event is free and open to the public; however, in order to reserve a bike and participate in the ride, the nonprofit strongly encourages participants to organize personal fundraising pages to contribute to KTP’s $500 bike reservation fee. Those attending the event will be joined in the ride by academy students and educators.

“Our students are so much more than the disabilities they live with,” said Paige Knowlson, executive director of Pattison’s Academy. “Keeping the PACE is such a special event because it gives our community the ability to witness the true potential these children possess. It allows our students to become active participants in not only their community but their futures.”

Pattison’s Academy is currently offering several sponsorship levels for local businesses and benefactors. Additional information regarding event details, tickets, and sponsorship opportunities can be found on the official event page: pattisonsacademy.org/events/keeping-the-pace.
