Glenn McConnell Parkway Widening Town Hall Set for March 21st
Charleston County Councilmember Kylon Middleton will host a town hall event on Monday, March 21st from 6 pm to 7 pm at the Bees Ferry Library located at 3035 Sanders Road in Charleston. A project manager will provide an update on the construction process on the Glenn McConnell Parkway beginning this month. Residents will then have an opportunity to ask questions.
“The purpose of this town hall is to update residents on the construction process and let people know what they can expect as the project team moves forward with widening the road,” said Councilmember Middleton.
The goal of this project is to relieve traffic congestion on Glenn McConnell Parkway by widening the road from four-to-six lanes between Bees Ferry Road and Magwood Drive. This project will also improve bike and pedestrian facilities through the addition of a multi-use path allowing safe pedestrian access across the CSX Railway.
