Spring Black Food Truck Festival Tickets Now On Sale

Tickets for the previously announced Black Food Truck Festival are on sale now. The spring event will be held on both April 23rd and 24th at a new venue – the Exchange Park in Ladson – and features some of the best food trucks in the region along with music, vendors, kid-friendly activities, and entertainment. 

In addition to highlighting the region’s food truck cuisine, the Black Food Truck Festival has a greater mission of making an economic and social impact on the community by showcasing and investing in Black-owned businesses. The inaugural festival in November 2021 generated more than $225,000 for the community.

Due to  an increase in popularity and ticket sales, organizers moved the event to the larger Exchange Park Fairgrounds, 9850 Highway 78 in Ladson.

Festival founder Marcus Hammond is passionate about bringing the community together through food and entertainment. He saw a need for this kind of event and was inspired by the success of the first festival last fall.

“Our goal is to create an atmosphere of unity, love and positive vibes,” he said. “We’re excited to build on the success of last year with more food trucks, a new venue and additional entertainment. We’re creating a fun, family friendly event and a memorable experience while positively impacting our community and businesses.”

The entertainment lineup for Saturday includes DJ Honcho, Psycodelics, and La’Faye & The Fellas. Performing on Sunday are Deejay Rubin, Tommy & The Chucktown Players, Black Diamond Band, and Live in the Flesh Experience.

The festival is from noon to 6 pm each day. Early-bird admission is $15 or purchase a two-day ticket for $25, until April 1st. Tickets do not include food. Children ages 12 and under are admitted free. No pets allowed. Purchase tickets at www.blackfoodtruckfestival.com.
