BCLS Hosts Hippos, Hotspots and Homelands at Daniel Island Library

Berkeley County Library System will host “Hippos, Hotspots, and Homelands” at the Daniel Island Library on Wednesday, April 20th from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. The event is presented by Elsa Dixon van der Byl, author of the memoir Hippos, Hotspots, and Homelands. The memoir is a collection of her adventure as an educator in Apartheid-era South Africa.  

“Elsa Dixon has been a long-time faithful customer at the Daniel Island Library,” said Daniel Island librarian Timothy Boyle. “We have had the pleasure of hearing her stories of South Africa and look forward to sharing her adventures and her newest book, Hippos, Hotspots, and Homelands in this presentation.”
