WonderWorks Myrtle Beach Celebrates Teacher Appreciation with Free Admission For Teachers and Staff
May is Teacher Appreciation Month, and WonderWorks Myrtle Beach is celebrating by offering free admission for teachers and support staff all month long. All teachers and staff from South Carolina and North Carolina schools with valid identification can receive free admission to WonderWorks during the month of May. Sharing the love even further, up to four additional guests will receive 50% off their admission ticket. To receive free admission, teachers will need to complete the online registration form, and present a valid school ID or recent pay stub upon entry.
“It’s safe to say everyone has fond memories of that teacher who made learning fun,” says Kaitlin Barnes, education sales manager of WonderWorks Myrtle Beach. “This special month at WonderWorks is to honor and say ‘thank you’ to those teachers! This is our way of showing a small bit of appreciation.”
This opportunity is an excellent way for teachers and school support staff to enjoy time with their family and friends while experiencing learning concepts in fun ways that they can relate to the lessons shared with their students. WonderWorks Myrtle Beach is filled with exhibits rooted in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) principles. The facility also recently launched its new STEM room, which includes exhibits focused on robotics, shark anatomy, and more.
“Our team is gearing up to welcome local teachers, education staff, and their families to explore WonderWorks! While visiting, there’s something for everyone to enjoy,” says Robert Stinnett, general manager of WonderWorks Myrtle Beach. “We have such a strong relationship with our teachers and schools, and we want to invite them out to say ‘thank you’ for all the hard work that they do for our students.”
WonderWorks also offers year-round field trip opportunities for all students and teachers to enhance their curriculum in the classroom. Field trips are open to students of all ages, and provide themwith a chance to learn about earth science, physics, astronomy, physical science and more in a fun environment. Visits to WonderWorks are designed to ignite students’ imagination and spark an interest in all things STEM.
Though Teacher Appreciation Days are reserved exclusively for certified teachers and staff, WonderWorks Myrtle Beach continues to show its support for homeschool teachers and families by offering Homeschool Days several months throughout the year.
