Traffic Alert: Nighttime Lane Closures for Glenn McConnell Parkway Widening Project

According to Charleston County, lane closures will begin Sunday, May 8th starting at 7 pm on Glenn McConnell Parkway.

Details:

• Work is scheduled from May 8th through May 11th from 7 pm to 6 am
• Crews will be working on the eastbound inside lane in one-mile increments throughout the project limits from Bees Ferry Road to Magwood Drive
• Residents should expect to see traffic control signs, message boards, and reduced speed limits
• Drivers are asked to use caution while driving through the construction area

Charleston County Public Works will be performing clearing operations as construction continues to make progress on Glenn McConnell Parkway. The Glenn McConnell Parkway Widening Project includes improvements along an approximately 2.1 mile section of Glenn McConnell Parkway starting near Magwood Drive to the intersection with Bees Ferry Road.
