Charleston Mayor Tecklenburg Tests Positive for COVID-19
The City of Charleston today announced that Mayor John Tecklenburg has tested positive for COVID-19. The City says the mayor is isolating at home and has “mild, head-cold-type symptoms.”
Mayor Tecklenburg said he plans to attend all City Council meetings this week virtually, in accordance with CDC guidelines.
“I’m thankful to be fully vaccinated and boosted, and have been told to expect continued mild symptoms for the next few days,” Mayor Tecklenburg said. “And with case numbers rising again, I encourage everyone to make sure they’re up-to-date on their vaccines and boosters.”
