Traffic Alert: Nighttime Lane Closures on Highway 41 and Highway 17

From Charleston County:

There will be nighttime lane closures this week for the Highway 41 Project. Closures will begin Monday, June 6 and continue through Wednesday, June 8.

 Details:

• Closures will take place from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.
• Impacted roadsinclude SC 41 between US 17 and the Wando River Bridge, US 17 between Brickyard Parkway and Oakland Plantation, Winnowing Way, and Porchers Bluff Rd., from US 17 to Billy Swails Blvd.
• Short segments of each of the affected roads will be closed. When work on that segment is complete, traffic will be restored before the next segment is closed.
• Flaggers will direct traffic.
• Drivers are asked to slow down and be extra careful driving through the construction area.
• Crews will be conducting pavement evaluations and all work is weather dependent.

 The Highway 41 Project aims to improve roadway capacity and ease traffic congestion along Highway 41.
