Battery Unveil 2022 Pride Jerseys for June 11th Pride Night

The Charleston Battery unveiled Tuesday their 2022 Pride Kit to be worn Saturday, June 11th, as the club hosts Pride Night at Patriots Point and celebrates diversity and inclusivity in the Lowcountry.

The limited-edition jerseys, worn by the Battery as they take on Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, will be autographed by the players and auctioned off for fans to purchase, with proceeds going to support Charleston Pride and youth advocacy organization We Are Family.

The kit features the topography of Charleston in the alternating colors of the Pride movement with added rainbow elements on the collar, sleeve ends and side-hem chevrons. The Battery’s iconic yellow and red colors are incorporated into the pattery signifying the club’s unity with and support of the LGBTQ+ community.

Fans can bid on the player-worn and signed jerseys starting today by visiting shop.charlestonbattery.com. Ahead of the Pride Night celebration on Saturday, the club also unveiled the 2022 Pride Supporters Scarf, featuring the same multi-colored topographic design. Proceeds from the scarf will also support both partner organizations.

The Pride Night festivities kick off Saturday when gates open at 5:30 pm with a pre-match concert featuring local artist Michael Duff, a fan happy hour that includes $4 beers until 6:30 pm, and the Pride Night supporters march that will see Battery fans and LGBTQ+ community members and allies march into the stadium before kickoff.
