Inaugural CCSD Football Jamboree Set for August 12th

Charleston County School District (CCSD) today announced the matchups for the inaugural CCSD Football Jamboree, which is scheduled for Friday, August 12th, 2022, at Robert E. Hayes Field at the District 2 Regional Stadium. 

Eleven high schools from the district and one area private school will play in the event. The 2022 CCSD Football Jamboree matchups are as follows (start times following  the first contest are approximate, and the designated home team is listed second):

• 5:30 pm – Burke Bulldogs vs. Lucy Beckham Bengals
• 6:10 pm – Academic Magnet Raptors vs. North Charleston Cougars
• 6:50 pm – West Ashley Wildcats vs. St. John’s Islanders
• 7:30 pm – Military Magnet Academy Eagles vs. R.B. Stall Warriors
• 8:10 pm – Bishop England Battling Bishops vs. James Island Trojans
• 8:50 pm – Baptist Hill Bobcats vs. Wando Warriors 

Each exhibition contest will last 24 minutes (running clock). The game clock will stop when a team scores, for a change of possession, and significant injuries.

The district attempted to host this event last year, but the jamboree was canceled due to COVID-19.
