Local Artist’s Debut Solo Show to be Held at The Gibbes Museum
Local fiber artist Daisy McClellan will soon present her debut solo exhibit, A Home of Her Own, at the Gibbes Museum of Art. Her works will be on display from June 24th to July 31st.
McClellan completed the artist-in-residency program at the museum last year and her show will be located in the Ruth and Bill Baker Art Sales Gallery right when you walk into the building. The exhibit is open to the public and FREE to visit. Her items will also be available for purchase.
McClellan says the idea for this exhibit was born out of being in lockdown during the pandemic. She wanted to create a little dream hideaway, something warm and comforting, filled with things she made with her own hands. You can learn more about McClellan’s process and residency here.
Additionally, on July 9th at 11 am, McClellan will be hosting an artist talk where you can learn more about her work.
