Traveus (Trey) Hill is the author of A Poetry of Life Transformations, and he will be in conversation with Amaker, Silvers, and Congdon in CLS’s Main Reading Room. Hill said all of these men have been extremely influential to him and have encouraged his writing.
Amaker was named Charleston’s first Poet Laureate in 2016 and an Academy of American Poets Fellow in 2021. Silver is the co-founder of The People’s Beat, a multimedia digital news organization that seeks to empower Black and Brown communities, and Congdon is founder of Into the Ideal, a company driven to help those struggling to find their path in life.
In addition to conversations and readings, Hill will openly discuss his inspiration and creative process behind his new release, A Poetry of Life Transformation. Time will be held for questions at the end.
This event is free, open to the public, and will have coffee.
