Restaurant with a “Sports and Sandwich Obsession” Coming to The Refinery

A new eatery from the duo behind Daps Breakfast and Imbibe is planning to open in The Refinery, a new mixed-use development that includes an outdoor music amphitheater, in Spring 2023. The concept, Cleats, is described as a “a public house with a sports and sandwich obsession.”

This will be the second restaurant for Nick Dowling and Jeremiah Schenzel, who opened Daps in 2018.

The sandwich-centric menu at Cleats is expected to feature the owners’ spin on classic deli staples among other menu items.

“When we created Daps, we knew we wanted to create our own version of the perfect breakfast/brunch,” Dowling said. “We’re really excited to do the same thing with the menu items at Cleats. Everything will be big, flavorful, and shareable.”
