PURE Theatre Announces World Premiere of “A Hidden Life” by Randy Neale
PURE Theatre is kicking off their 20th Anniversary Season with the World Premiere of A Hidden Life by Randy Neale. The show will run for four weeks with 15 performances at the Cannon Street Arts Center, starting August 18th and ending September 10th.
“A Hidden Life is a fiction based on actual events in the life of a real person, Adrienne Laframbois Filion Lavoie” ssid playwright and PURE Core Ensemble member Randy Neale. “I will leave it to the audience to decide which events in this play really happened. Like all writers, I often lose track of whether I am remembering real events, exaggerations or mythologies, but I can tell you that the woman in this play was just what you see: an immigrant, a survivor, and the matriarch of a family that will reflect her strength for generations.”
The cast features PURE Core Ensemble members Emily Wilhoit and Camille Lowman along with the nationally renowned LeeAnne Hutchison and PURE legacy Alexa Kennedy Smith.
Randy Neale is a playwright, director, and actor who has been with PURE and a member of PURE’s Core Ensemble since 2006. Among his writing credits are Last Rites (World Premiere PURE Theatre, August 2019) and The Fool’s Lear, which debuted at PURE in 2011. His published plays can be found at theplaysthething.info.
Tickets range from $30 – $45. There will be two Pay-What-You-Will Performances on August 18th and 24th. The show will be live streamed for all performances on September 9th and 10. A Hidden Life is also available through the All-Access Flex Pass, giving you tickets and reserved seats to every show along with a host of other benefits.
