Summerville Orchestra to Hold Open Auditions on August 20th
The Summerville Orchestra is holding open auditions on Saturday, August 20th, from 3 pm to 5 pm, at the Fort Dorchester High School band room (8500 Patriot Blvd.), North Charleston. The organization invites all area musicians to audition, including high school students, for both the full orchestra and the orchestra’s smaller chamber ensembles.
All instrumentalists are invited to audition. Of particular need this season are cello, bass, French horn, and harp. The full orchestra positions are unpaid, and some chamber ensemble players are paid on a per event basis.
