Ashley Peele Announces Candidacy for CCSD District 3

Ashley Peele (right) today announced her candidacy for Charleston County School Board of Trustees, filing to run for the District 3 seat. The election will be held on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022.

“As a native of North Charleston, a product of Charleston County schools, and a mother of two children who will rely on schools in this district, I understand what’s at stake for parents, students, teachers, and the community,” Peele said. “With the right leadership, Charleston County can be the pinnacle of academic achievement in the state.”

Peele said she believes the District deserves “a highly-qualified superintendent with the vision and leadership prowess to deliver results for every student in every school.”

“Students in District 3 deserve a world-class education that will prepare them for success inside and outside of the classroom,” she said. “Right now, the Charleston County education system is failing too many of its students. Bold leadership and actions are required to tackle the toughest challenges facing district leaders, educators, and students.”
