Deep Water Vineyard Hosting Annual Grape Stomp Festival on August 27th

Deep Water Vineyard will host their Annual Grape Stomp Festival on Saturday, August 27th from 10 am to 6 pm. The event includes food, drinks, vendors, a grape stomping competition, a Lucille Ball look-a-like contest, and more.

Here’s a rundown of what to expect:

    • Good Clean Fun will be out with free activities for children

    • Tastings from Deep Water Vineyard as well as beer, wine-a-ritas, draft meads, bloody mary’s, and mimosas
  • Grape Stomping
    • You can sign up for the stomp contest when you get your parking pass
    • There will be 4 competitive stomps
    • Your $20 ticket to stomp is for you and your partner, you only need 1 ticket for your team
      • One of you will stomp, the other will catch the juice
    • Prizes will be rewarded
    • The vineyard will also have some barrels with grapes to stomp if you don’t want to enter the competition and are just looking for a photo opportunity
  • Lucy Look-a-Like Contest
    • “I Love Lucy” fans will get their chance to don their best Lucy costume and reenact the famous 1956 episode of “I Love Lucy” when Lucy takes a job in a vineyard and stomps grapes.

  • 11:00 – 11:50 – Dallas Baker
  • Noon – First Stomp Competition
  • 12:35 – 1:25 – Dallas Baker
  • 1:30 – Second Stomp Competition
  • 2:00 – 2:45 – Joal Rush
  • 2:50 – Third Stomp Competition
  • 3:20 – 4:05 – Joal Rush
  • 4:10 – 4:40 – Fourth Stomp Competition
  • 4:45 – 5:00 – Lucy Look-a-like Contest
  • 5:00 – 5:45 – Joal Rush

You’ll need a $20 parking pass – one per vehicle, so be sure to add on your tasting tickets, as well as stomping tickets if you want to compete. You can get tickets here.

The festival will benefit The Formation Project, a Charleston-based, survivor-led nonprofit providing direct services to survivors of human trafficking.
