Are you planning your next road trip? Although many people look at Great-Britain as a boring place, it’s truly a beautiful place that has many gems. In this blog, we’ll introduce you to five places that are definitely worthy of a visit. Get inspired!

1. Edinburgh, Scotland

When you think of Edinburgh, you probably immediately think of the beautiful castle that’s located in this city. Rightfully so, but did you know that Edinburgh doesn’t only have this old, classical feel in the castle? This feeling can be found throughout the entire city, which makes it a perfect city for a day trip, as you’ll truly dive into something you don’t see every day.

2. Chester, England

Do you like the old feeling Edinburgh offered? Let’s continue the theme with Chester! This city center is filled with old architecture, making it a beautiful walk. This architecture actually has a lot of historical meaning to it too, as these city walls were actually built by the Romans. Also fun: if you’re bored of the city center, the biggest outlet of the UK is located only 15 kilometres away.

3. Leicester, England

If you’re looking for something more all-round, Leicester is a great visit for you. This city, which nowadays is quite known for their football club winning the Premier League in 2016, offers a great combination of traditional pubs, mixed with modern art museums and other forms of amusement. If you’re taking a road trip through the UK, this is one of those cities that everyone will find something to enjoy in.

4. Cardiff, Wales

Let’s not forget about Wales! Although it’s the smallest of the British countries, it’s certainly not the most boring one. Cardiff is a great example of this: this beautiful city, which is filled with old architecture too, has truly come alive over the years. Many great pubs make for a great night life, which might be something you’re looking for on a long road trip.

5. Inverness, Scotland

To experience the beautiful green landscapes Scotland has to offer, Inverness is a great city to start. This city has a beautiful city center, but also has botanical gardens and green cliffs to enjoy too. From this list, Inverness definitely is the city with the best nature. If that’s what you’re looking for, give Inverness a try!
